Riva Acciaio - Cerveno (BS)

Built at the beginning of the 1980s, the Cerveno plant was acquired by Riva Acciaio in 1983. Thanks to decades of investments, both the production capacity and the level of specialisation were increased. The factory is specialised in the production of high quality long steel products such as round and square bars, billets and flat products that are mainly used for moulding, drawing, peeling and grounding and employed in tractor manufacturing and in the automotive sector.

The rolling mill has an inline hot profile measuring device to check dimensional tolerances and a cooling bed, a shear for cutting-to-length and a bundling, binding, labelling and weighing machine.

In Cerveno, there is also a testing department equipped with two straightening lines for round rolled steel, a straightening line for flat and square rolled products and billets, a sand blasting line and a heat treatment furnace for softening/stress-relieving. Non-destructive tests such as flux leakage testing and submerged ultrasonic testing are performed at customers’ request.
