HES - Horath

HES Horath was founded in 1964 by the brothers Alfred and Walter Rass from Trier and traded under the name Hochwald Drahtwerk. At the beginning, the company only manufactured standard meshes for the construction industry. The production of special meshes (manufactured according to drawings) started in the early 1980's.

The first machine for the production of standard meshes was installed, enabling the company Hochwald Drahtwerk to produce standard meshes up to 14 m long and 3.2 m wide. Subsequently Drahtwerk Horath developed into a very important production centre of standard meshes in Germany and the product portfolio was expanded to include also cold ribbed reinforcing steel coils and bars. In 2003 the plant was taken over by the Sotralenz Group from Drulingen / France and traded as Drahtwerk Horath. In February 2017 Drahtwerk Horath was acquired by the RIVA Group and has traded since then as Hennigsdorfer Elektrostahlwerke GmbH, Werk Horath.
